Materials Passports: Accelerating Material Reuse in Construction

Material Passports offer an opportunity to gather and organise data about materials contained within a building, which in turn enable material reuse. In this policy paper, we propose a series of recommendations which will enable meaningful material reuse.

Our ambition is to create a process that is clear enough to understand, simple enough to use and cost effective to implement, to ultimately change how we value our existing and future built environment.

This work has been developed in collaboration with Lancaster University, with funding provided by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
