The University of Sheffield hosts the annual Hatfield Memorial Lecture on the first Tuesday of December. The 2024 Lecture "Batteries and Electric Vehicles - How materials will decarbonise transport" was given by Professor David Greenwood, Director for Industrial Engagement, and CEO of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult at WMG.
