The dates have been confirmed and you are invited to register for this year’s conference

The 2025 Furnace Solutions conference will start on the afternoon of the third of June at the World of Glass museum with a training session: The use of oxygen in glass furnaces, given by Neil Simpson. This will be followed by the IoM3 Mellor Memorial Lecture – Electricity in Glass Production, presented by Andy Reynolds.

The training session is free to those who have booked for the conference. The Mellor Memorial Lecture is a free event and drinks will be available afterwards.

The two-day Furnace Solutions conference will again be at the Totally Wicked Stadium, home of St Helens Rugby League Club, and will include a tour of the, now operational, Glass Futures facilities and the Geoff Evans Dinner on Wednesday evening and will finish on the Thursday afternoon with the presentation of the Michael Garvey Award for the best presentation.

Attracting attendees from the UK, Europe and around the world, this highly respected and successful conference will again highlight important issues and opportunities for the glass industry, as well as showcasing best practices and technologies.

The Mellor Memorial Lecture is a free event.

The conference is £225 for SGT members (£130 for a single day pass) and £410 for non-members (£240 for a single day pass). The students’ price is £100 (£50 for a single day pass).

The Geoff Evans Dinner is £39.50+VAT.
