The corrosion of superstructure and regenerator refractories by glass batch materials

Samples of twenty refractory materials have been sprayed with K₂CO₃, Pb₃₀e, and NazSOa at 1400°C. Whilst the corrosion was related to the chemical composition of the samples, it has been shown that the porosity of the sample had an important influence on the result.
