A description is given of some qf the many applications where Colmonoy Alloys are being used in the glass bottle manufacturing industry to overcome wear problems. Mention is made of both rod and Sprayweld depositions on moulds and pauisons, also the hardfacing of associated components such as guide rings, bottonz plates, and post type bafJs. Reconz~nendatioizs are made as to the thickness of deposits for the various components, and an indication is given of the increased life obtained over that of untreated
cast iron. The surface coating of the complete ~9orking faces of split moulds, by the Sprayweld process, is described in detail.
