The forth International Conference on Borate Glasses, Crystals and Melts: took place on the Coe College campus in Cear Rapids Iowa, USA during the period 14-18 July 2002. The meeting was held under the auspices of the North American section of the Society of Glass Technology. This conference followed earlier meetings held at Alfred NY, USA (1977). Abingdon, UK (1996) and Sofia, Bulgaria (1999)
