During the past four years the author has been engaged on the production of optical glass, and has studied glasses of many varying types. A considerable amount of knowledge has accumulated from this study, and glass technologists may be interested to have, some of the information at their disposal from this series of papers. The glasses of the series 100SiO₂.xK₂O.xNa₂O are intermediate in their properties between those of the series 100SiO₂.K₂O and 100SiO₂.Na₂O. The refractive indices show this extremely well.
