The Calculation of the Physical Properties of Glass. III. The Index of Refraction

 The method formerly proposed by the authors is used for the calculation of the refractive index of glass of various compositions. All published experimental data have been correlated, with a fair accuracy, by the formula n_D=∑(ax+bx²).Equations are given for the partial refractions of the various oxides.
