On the thermodynamic properties of amorphous and hexagonal selenium
PC 1966 4 157-158
The heat capacity of amorphous selenium between 25 and 85" C has been measured. From these data, the glass transition temperature of selenium has been obtained, and amorphous selenium has been shown to relax during annealing at 25" C. The energy difference at 0" C between amorphous and hexagonal selenium has been measured. This difference has been compared with the heat of fusion of selenium.
