Modular Photonics signs license agreement with SCHOTT

Modular Photonics has signied a license agreement with SCHOTT for Aldente Glass, a cutting-edge material purpose-engineered for ultra-low loss photonic chips and ultrafast laser inscription.

Aldente Glass was created to enable high-performance 3D photonic integrated circuits (PICs). It is the first glass specifically designed to achieve ultra-low loss performance via laser inscription. This exceptionally low optical loss unlocks new potential across quantum communications and next-gen telecommunications.
